Install SnagBane

Steps

1. Download the Community edition and unzip it on your server.
2. With Docker, run docker compose up -d --build in the folder. It starts SnagBane, a background worker, a scheduler, MariaDB and Mailpit (a test inbox).
3. Open http://your-server:8080/install. For the Docker database use host db, database snagbane, user snagbane and leave the password empty — SnagBane replaces it with a strong random password during installation.
4. Follow the three steps: requirements, database, admin account. Then sign in.
5. Put SnagBane behind HTTPS on your own domain (for example forms.yourcompany.com) before inviting people.

On cPanel or a VPS, follow cPanel or VPS in the documentation. Both need one cron job (php artisan schedule:run every minute) for reminders and clean-up.
