The short version

SnagBane is software you install on your own server. The forms, answers, files and accounts in your SnagBane installation are stored in your database and are never sent to us. This website does not use cookies, analytics or advertising trackers.

The website is served by Cloudflare. Like any web server, Cloudflare processes technical data such as your IP address and browser details to deliver pages and protect the site against abuse. We do not use this data to identify you.

Purchases

Enterprise licences are sold through Freemius. When you buy, Freemius processes your name, email address, billing details and payment information under its own privacy policy; we receive the details of your licence and purchase so we can support you. We never see your full card details.

Your SnagBane installation

Your installation contacts services we run only for the following:

• Update checks (Administration → System → Updates): the edition and version, the PHP version and your site address, to offer the right update. You can turn updates off.
• Licence checks (Enterprise only): your installation’s random ID, the Freemius installation ID and a hash of the licence key are sent to the SnagBane licence service, which checks the licence with Freemius. When you activate a licence, Freemius also receives your site address and name and the name and email address of the administrator who activates it.

Integrations you set up (for example Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, Slack or webhooks) send data from your installation directly to those services, under your control and their terms.

Your rights

You can ask what data we hold about you, and ask us to correct or delete it, through the contact options in your Freemius account or the Freemius checkout. For data inside your own SnagBane installation, contact the organisation that runs it.

Changes

If this policy changes, the date at the top changes too.
